Mountain Cleaning Drive on World Environment Day
Waste Warrior Society conducted a cleanliness campaign at 8 locations in Kasauli in collaboration with Act Humane Foundation

On the occasion of Environment Day, with the support of the Act Humane Foundation, Waste Warriors conducted a cleanliness campaign on Thursday across various schools and educational institutions in the tourist town of Kasauli. Children actively participated in the campaign.
Yash, the Zone Deputy Manager of Waste Warrior Society in Kasauli, shared that the organization has been working towards cleanliness in Uttarakhand and Himachal for quite some time.
He mentioned that on this World Environment Day, efforts are being made to set a world record, where 7,000 people are collecting a total of 7,000 kilograms of waste in a single day. Children were also made aware of the importance of cleanliness as part of the initiative.
He added that the Act Humane Foundation also extended their support in today’s cleanliness campaign.
He emphasized that it’s important to pledge today that cleanliness should not be limited to just one day. Consistent efforts must be made so that the younger generation can enjoy a clean and healthy environment in the future.
