We’re proud to share a special moment for Act Humane—our founder, Harleen Kaur, recently spoke at TEDx PURC Ludhiana, delivering a powerful message on resilience, purpose, and inclusion.
Harleen, who is also the Finance Director at Jujhar Group, lives with a special disability. Despite challenges, she has explored the world, built a successful career, and most importantly, founded Act Humane, a non-profit working to uplift the lives of people with disabilities.
In her TEDx talk, Harleen shared her inspiring journey—how her personal experiences motivated her to take action and make a difference. Today, Act Humane is creating real change on the ground:
- Adopting five disability day care schools, providing children with special needs the care and education they deserve.
- Organising disability certificate camps across Ludhiana, Mohali, and Dera Bassi, helping over 2,000 individuals get certified and access government pensions and welfare schemes.
- Launching inclusive infrastructure projects, including disability-friendly parks, so children and adults with disabilities can enjoy safe, accessible outdoor spaces.
Harleen’s TEDx message was clear: challenges can spark change, and compassion can fuel action. Her life’s work is a reflection of that belief—and her journey is a source of hope for many.
At Act Humane, we’re committed to building a more inclusive and supportive society. Harleen’s talk has inspired many to join hands in this mission.
Let’s continue working together to ensure that every person—regardless of ability—gets equal opportunities, respect, and care.
